Celebrating the season. Do what works for you.
Christmas Cards: I buy really expensive ones and send them but they say “Seasons Greetings.”
Winter has long nights, and in the temperate world it is dark and cooler or just cold. It is sort of depressing. It isn’t accidental that there are major holidays during this time of year, from Saturnalia in ancient times to Christmas in the present.
If you want to have a Christmas tree, go ahead. Exchange presents, do what you need to do.
So, for those who are concerned about homophobic Christianity this might be what you can do.
I still send out cards, and they are cards that don’t have a religious identity. They have snowflakes, tree ornaments, trees in snow or some secular theme. They say “Happy Holidays,” or “Seasons Greetings,” and such like.
Don’t deprive yourself of fun or relief from the winter darkness and cold or bright and shiny things, just make sure that you do it in a way that doesn’t conflict with your self-worth. Drink the eggnog and eat that carrot cake of Aunt Millie, but also don’t feel that you have to make it a Christian season either.
I also suggest that you consider doing what you might do to to support other Gays during the season, or maybe even consider what you might do all year long.
Meta censorship of Gay art continues.
This is an ongoing problem. We need to organize and do something about it. If you are interested, contact me.
Gay art builds Gay identity.
Also, I am glad to show case your art on my newsletter on substack. There isn’t discrimination there and I have at this moment about 430 subscribers.

GSK gets fast track designation for their Gonorrhea vaccine candidate. Will there be Christian opposition?
Progress
This is a June 27, 2023 press release. They are in Phase 2, and so there needs still to be done Phase 3.
Phase 1 is for safety, a small trial group gets the vaccine and you make sure it doesn’t make them sick and what the side-effects are, if any, and if there are what they are and how many people get them. It sees how much of the vaccine you can give to people safely. You would want to give people a large dose to increase effectiveness, but not make them sick or have too many side-effects. It is preliminary before you give it to a lot of people, Phase 2, to see if there are side-effects and safety issues and effectiveness.
Phase 2 gives some preliminary information as to effectiveness also.
Phase 3 is a large-scale test to see if it works. Enough people get the vaccine so you have a fairly precise idea on how effective it is.
Fast track means that when they get done with the Phase 2 and 3, the FDA makes sure they act quickly on the information.
Remember that a Gay anti-vaxxer will be a person who might give you gonorrhea. The vaccine won’t be 100% effective, and I am guessing it will be less than 80% effective. So even if you are vaccinated, the anti-vaxxer might give you gonorrhea or HPV or Hepatitis A or B, or something else, maybe even COVID.
Will there be Christian Opposition to a gonorrhea vaccine?
I think we can expect Christian opposition. They rely on fear of STD to drive their anti-sex agenda. They were against the HPV vaccine being required, because it meant less fear of having sex for teenagers.
https://www.voicesforvaccines.org/hpv-and-purity-culture/
As an eleven or twelve-year-old preteen in the mid-2000s, I attended a routine physical with my mother at our local pediatrician’s office. I was receiving all the updated, normal vaccines for my age, such as the MenACWY and Tdap vaccines. The doctor asked if I would be vaccinated against HPV, which protects against HPV strains that cause several types of cancer. My mother, a Christian conservative, responded, “No, she will not.” [Boldface added.]
From the above article.
Multiple reasons for parental non-adherence to the ACIP’s recommendation for HPV vaccination have been explored, including a lack of HPV and vaccine awareness, lack of provider recommendation, parental safety concerns, and concerns over perceived link to increased sexual activity [19,20,21,22,23]. Additionally, various studies have demonstrated a reduced uptake of the HPV vaccine in religious populations [24,25,26,27], and church affiliation and level of religious commitment have been associated with parental hesitancy to vaccinate children against HPV [27,28,29,30]. The idea that HPV vaccination promotes increased sexual activity, combined with a strong parental adherence to a faith tradition that encourages sexual abstinence prior to marriage, appears to contribute to negative parental attitude toward vaccination of their children. [Boldface added.]
Getting HPV increases a child’s risk of getting cancer later in life. Evangelical Christianity really is a death cult.
This is the advice of a Christian magazine about HPV vaccination.

We can certainly expect opposition from Christians against a gonorrhea vaccine. There is no known link behind gonorrhea and cancer or other potentially fatal disease so it is likely that the Christians will refuse to give it to their children.
At this time, conservative Christian fanaticism is keeping an HPV reservoir of disease in the United States. Most certainly their opposition to a gonorrhea vaccine will keep a reservoir in the United States also. In both cases conservative Christians will contribute to their being a reservoir of both diseases globally.
In the opposition to covid safety measures conservative Christians became opponents to safety measures and covid vaccines globally. Conservative Christianity has become a global movement and their craziness is aligned globally.
Remember, we get vaccinated, homophobic Christians don’t and they either die, get sick, get permanently affected, and we don’t. It is just that simple.
The more Gays are at vaccination rates near 100%, the more we have a differential advantage over homophobic Christians.
This might make CAR-T treatments affordable for HIV patients.
https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-023-03969-5
The article is entirely about CAR-T using viruses to deliver genetic information to create CAR-T modified T-cells to fight cancer. CAR-T is when you take out T-cells from patients and modify them genetically, and then re-insert them to go after tumors or another target.
Initial research has started in this April 19, 2023 post.
However, as you might imagine, taking T-cells out of a person, modifying them and then growing them and reinjecting them is likely to be very expensive.
A way of modifying them in the human body would tremendously cut costs and make this therapy available to many, many more people.
To reduce HIV in the United States we need to make cures as widely available as possible. Even if we have HIV vaccines, no vaccine will be 100%, and at this point we would be happy if it was 70% effective.
Even if we had insurance so everyone in the Western world could get CAR-T therapy, we would still have HIV in Gay populations around the world where there isn’t the money to pay for these therapies. The cheaper it is, the more people in poorer nations can get treatment and the less HIV infected people there will be reducing the level of HIV. This will reduce the risk of reintroduction to the United States and other nations where it has been eliminated.
Of course, it would be nice if there was a medicine that you could take that would cure HIV and that is ongoing also, but we don’t want to have only one possibility for curing HIV. Besides the fact different possibilities of curing HIV might not work, even with a cure for HIV, we have to likely have more than one cure in case some HIV strain is resistant to one type of cure.
I have been doing a lot of reports about local homophobic Christian leaders this last week.
Writing series of reports about Robert Jeffress of First Baptist Dallas. Nationally known homophobe. It is taking a lot of time, locally in Dallas there is a lot of homophobia. It is taking a lot of my time.
This is the first installment about First Baptist Church and Robert Jeffress.
