20230807 Michael Leonard has passed away. Facebook censors Gay artist. Fat liberation movement hostile to weight loss drugs. A stupid slogan to shut down Gay anger.
Major article in Nature about the new weight loss drugs. Enough with moral scolding of Gays who work out.

Michael Leonard, the ground breaking artist has died at the age of 90
https://www.michaelleonardartist.com/
You will find in media information about artists that did art for a Gay audience prior to the 1980s, but in many cases the art they did, was not public. It was private and only became know after they passed away and not until the Gay liberation movement started to get underway. Artists like David Hockney paved the way, but art that had explicitly homoerotic appeal really got underway when artists like Michael Leonard created it and were public with it.
Also, often creators didn’t want to be know as a Gay writer or Gay artist then.
One writer, who I will not promote by giving the writer’s name, famously said, that he/she didn’t write Gay novels, just novels with Gay characters. They were novels entirely about the Gay characters in them, and but the author didn’t want to be known as the writer of Gay novels.
When you talked about Gay art, Gay poems, or Gay novels, someone would say something in a snickering tone, “Is that two poems of the same sex attracted to each other?”
A lot of the closeted artists at the time didn’t like artists who were out since people would ask why they weren’t creating Gay art or at least be out of the closet.
When important Gay artists pass away, will they fade from our memories?
I am not finding any coverage by the LGBTQXYZ press. If I do, I will put it in the next newsletter.
Facebook censorship garbage.
This is the message I got from Facebook trying to go to Brock Archer’s Gay art website.
This is the link that is blocked by the corporate types at Meta.
This is why you need to be on Twitter. Also, this censorship is not done by homophobic conservatives, it is done by moralist corporate scolds. Further, you will note that the LGBTQXYZ establishment isn’t complaining about this censorship.
When the Gay community is working on an effective counter measure or just denouncing some anti-Gay thing.
Some Gay person will be found whining “Don’t fight hate with hate.”
“Fomosexual” what it means.
I came across this term, it isn’t really important that you know, but if you are curious. It means faking being homosexual.

Jealousy masquerading as social justice. Following hot guys isn’t a crime.
It is true that you shouldn’t ridicule people that aren’t body builders. However, this Facebook group uses that which is true to pull a lot of other assertions.
Much of the LGBTQXYZ is about moral scolds and anti-sex people upset that Gays are having fun. Much of it is jealousy. We should be surprised that Gays aren’t involved in activism when this is what activism consists of. I want to take apart all the nonsense of this post.
This is the Facebook post.
https://www.facebook.com/ourbodiesgay
The person says:
“My social media & internet feeds will be jammed packed with my biggest nightmare. Endless picks of slim young muscular ripped white prettyboys with 8-pack abs & perfect bods standing around in speedos with other Guys JUST LIKE THEM.”
You can’t see most of this stuff unless you sign up for it. You have to follow these guys on Instagram or Facebook or TikTok. Or you have to join groups on Facebook or other social media where they show mostly hot guys. It isn’t like they hack your computer and gain entry into your browser.
The solution is to unfollow them. Or leave the Facebook group. Nightmare over.
Of course, that would mean victimhood over.
As for the fact that the people in the group photos are the same, isn’t some conspiracy. If you were a member of a swimming group, bicycling group, or jogging group, or a group into body building, you likely are in shape and one social activity will be going to the beach.
Or you are guys into that type of guys. Likely you will want to have social activities so you can meet guys you are potentially interested in.
Also, I think these photos have selection bias. That is when the photo didn’t support the outrage of the post it was ommitted..
You can find plenty of photos of hot young Asian, Latino, and African American guys doing much the same, I know because they are in my feed. I don’t consider it a nightmare though.
These LGBTQXYZ scolds are always looking to some how with some contrivance to bring the issue of racism into their accusations.
This is one of the reasons there isn’t much Gay in the LGBTQXYZ, Gays don’t need to hear self-righteous and self-serving scoldings.
Yes, there are people with unpleasant attitudes and think they are everything because of the way they look, but they don’t represent everyone who is in shape.
My writing is neither left nor right, it is Gay centric.
I think groups across the political spectrum at various times try to exploit the Gay community for one thing or another, often it is winning elections.
The various political groups of LGBT aren’t outreaches of the Gay community, but rather appendages of these political movements.
Given that these groups serve groups outside the Gay community, their interests may not be the interests of the Gay community or be against the interests of the Gay community.
This newsletter is Gay centric and for the Gay community’s interests. When some group is exploitive of the Gay community or their interests are against the Gay community’s interests, I will point it out and criticize it. It doesn’t mean I am a member of the opposition.
Don’t make presumptions that I am in an opposing political camp.
I want to build a Gay centric movement which includes the widest range of Gays as possible.
Also, it isn’t like I am some deity. I do have personal views on things. I hope that they don’t interfere with formulating a Gay centric approach, but probably in some cases they do. Feedback from a Gay centric viewpoint is welcome.
“Four key questions on the new wave of anti-obesity drugs” in Nature magazine.
Nature magazine is one of the two most prestigious and respected English language science magazines in the world.
https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-023-02445-4
What is interesting in the article is the 1st paragraph:
It’s rare to find a product so successful that its makers stop advertising it. But that’s what happened to the weight-loss drug Wegovy in May. In the United States, where prescription drugs can be advertised, developer Novo Nordisk pulled its television adverts because it couldn’t keep up with demand.
With sales like this we can expect drug companies to be working on 2nd and 3rd generation drugs to either enter this market or keep their market share. They will likely be looking how each drug’s effectiveness can be maximized.
There is a small group that the drugs for which the drugs aren’t effective. Some people will have to reduce their weight by watching what they are eating.
Fat Liberation scholar in the article is in a panic that her whole “social justice” program might disappear. I boldface her ideological assertion. The article states:
But not everyone shares that enthusiasm. “There are people who are really worried about the uptake and the excitement around these medications,” says Sarah Nutter, a psychologist and weight-stigma researcher at the University of Victoria in Canada. Some people fear that the existence of these drugs could exacerbate eating disorders and weight stigma, Nutter says.
These drugs enter a world with ever-present diet culture and societal pressure to be slim. “What we need to do,” Nutter says, “is develop a better understanding of health as being independent of weight.”
Being overweight does have an impact on your health.
I remember back in the 1960s there would be people in the media and they smoked and they were 80 or 90 years old and these examples were shown as some type of proof that it was alright to smoke tobacco.
Fat liberation in the LGBT groups is the equivalent to anti-vaxxer sentiment among Evangelical Christians and conservatives.
When Gays are the product, Gays should own the system or business.
For example, with Grindr, Gays are the product. Without us they don’t exist. I think it last sold for over $600 million. It isn’t really oriented to serving the Gay community.
If we had some type Gay club, we could own the apps, the bathhouses and have a publication, and it would serve us and our interests. Gays spend a lot of money and it doesn’t benefit Gays.
The app could have information on STDs. Perhaps arrange for vaccination events. Announce some books and movies for people to watch. Instead, Grindr is berating Gays for not wanting to have sex with transmen.
Upper class people organize country clubs and it isn’t just to play golf. They have a pool and other recreational activities, but it isn’t just that. That is where a certain class of people can have recreation among themselves and avoid people trying to get a piece of them. It is a place where they can exchange information about lawyers, bankers, business people, estate arrangements, good lawyers, antique dealers, jewelers, etc. They have a class interest and they organize to serve them.
I am not necessarily saying that these people are good or bad, what I am trying to point out is that they organize to serve their interests.
We have Gay interests, but we are pushed by the LGBTQXYZ to be individuals and not a group and to get lumped into other groups for whom we don’t share the same interests and needs.
TikTok Transman
Transman who is complaining that what they thought was a Gay man who was interested in “him,” was really a person looking for straight sex. Basically, this transman is discovering the reality of trying to be a “Gay” transman. I think that people planning on being a Gay transman need to know what the reality is.
r/gaytransguys
It is somewhat tragic. These transmen get fed all sorts of ideology and then find out that the reality is that they aren’t going to be living as a Gay transman. Sometimes they think they are, but it turns out that it is just a straight guy exploiting their delusions for sex.

Weight Loss
If you want to be heavy set or be heavy that is your choice.
This is just some things I have learned. As of this morning I have come from 225 pounds to 200.6 pounds. My goal is 180. My old man is 96 and I plan to live long them him.
This is for me, and may not be for you. I really don’t like some Gays pushing other Gays out or demonizing. I know Gays with health problems because they were overweight.
Vegan food doesn’t necessarily mean you are going to lose weight.
Much of the vegan food restaurants around where I live involves breading and then frying the breaded vegetable. Tastes good, but you aren’t going to lose weight eating it.
You are going to have to judge Vegan food like any other food as to if it is going to help you lose weight.
Food boredom.
Yes, what you are eating is good for you. Mix it up so you don’t get bored with what you are eating. When you are bored with what you are eating it is when you think of a bad food choice.
Cherry tomatoes
When you get tired of the fruit snack you are eating, or when you need to have your salad have something different because the salad seems boring.
Frozen Ground Turkey preparations
You can give it a flavor with beef bullion. Then make sure all your other spices are no salt. I am currently experimenting with putting dried bell peppers and stuff which will absorb the water that comes off the turkey and max the result a meat/vegetable mixture.
I will have my recipe for Layoff Stew in a future issue.
Walmart has good food.
The produce section at Walmart is really good. I sometimes go to stores which are supposedly high end, and in some cases they are good and have more selection. In other cases, I am surprised at the substandard produce and sometimes I end up throwing away the produce because it isn’t good or rotten.
The packaged plums at Walmart are good and the package prevents them from being bruised in shipping and customer handling.
Walmart Online vs. Amazon for specialty foods.
I am going with Walmart now.
Tofu can be a good choice.
I am allergic to tofu and can’t eat more than once a week. However, it can be prepared to be tasty and can be filling.
Baked Tofu
There is a tofu that you buy at the store as baked tofu. It has a sort of nutty taste. You can slice it like cheese and maybe dip it in soy sauce. It is zero fat. It isn’t in all stores. I am going to be seeing if I can bake it in my oven. UPDATE: I put some tofu in the oven. I was able to eat it, but it isn’t like the tofu in the store.
