Presenting at a History Conference in Texas this week.
Getting down to the deadline. will discuss it in next weeks newsletter.
A lot of things I need to write up are piling up since I have been tied up with the computer disaster and home remodeling and now meeting this history conference deadline.
Taurine Not anti-aging.
In an earlier newsletter I reported on Nature reporting on the anti-aging impact of Taurine. Now it seems the science is saying it isn’t effective. I updated all the earlier postings.

I can tell you that not smoking, avoiding the sun, and not drinking excessively is the three most important things to avoid aging. Otherwise, it is genetics.

Mpox vaccination program in Africa is a big failure.
The epidemic is likely to continue in Africa for some time and be a menace to Gays everywhere.

This debacle started under the Biden administration which didn’t take it seriously. The Trump administration isn’t taking it seriously.
Clade 2, the type that caused the mpox epidemic in the United States is raging out of control in Sierra Leone. If you still haven’t gotten vaccinated, now would be a good time to do it.
Nature, June 6, 2025, “Skyrocketing mpox outbreak in Sierra Leone raises fears of wider spread.”

Decriminalizing homosexuality in Texas and why it is important to people outside Texas.
It is important because.
[1] Part of this project is to reveal and clarify who is the opposition to Gays in these things, by name, by church, by denomination. No obscuring or general or vague language.
[2] To document how the political system, in particular Democrats, work on this, to document how committed or not they are regarding Gay concerns.
In states where homosexual conduct isn’t illegal, there are other goals of the Gay community and what is learned in this case history will be useful elsewhere in understanding our situation in regards to achieving goals for the Gay community.
People need to understand, if the Supreme Court decision that invalidated these laws against homosexual conduct gets overturned it is not going back to the old days.
They will be raiding bars, shutting down apps like Grindr, and Pride events will be prohibited.
They will be prohibited on the basis that they are places that are conducive to illegal homosexual conduct.
It seems like the Democrats in Texas either don’t have a competent campaign, or they are just doing things for show.
I think that it is important for the nation to understand how serious the Democrats are about helping defend the Gay community. We need to know who is the opposition and we need tactics that will put an end to these type of laws.
Over a dozen states have laws making homosexual conduct illegal.
All the posts about decriminalizing homosexual conduct in Texas will be at this directory post.
As part of this campaign, I will be researching the church of each member of the Texas legislature who voted against the bill HB 1738 to decriminalize homosexual conduct. This is the first post about the church of the Chair of the Texas House Criminal Jurisprudence committee who delayed the bill in committee and then voted against it being reported out of committee and voted against it twice in the general Texas House vote.
The LGBTQXYZ+ Dems here in Texas don’t seem to be interested in surfacing the Christian opposition. Likely it would be something that would imped Democrats getting votes and these LGBTQXYZ+ Dems are all about harvesting votes for the Democrats.
I am, however, concerned about the welfare of Gays as my priority, so I am not worried what the Dems might or might not think.

Gelboys. Gay movie for the BL project
We can use cultural resources to fight homophobia. There is a growing BL fanbase in America and they are going to be biased against homophobia.
Not all politics is electoral.
Interesting series about young people focused on social media and being cool. It is interesting view of youth culture in Thailand and Gay life. I think that Gays would find the central theme very interesting.
Also, it is somewhat refreshing that no one is discussing the Bible or religious homophobia and it takes place in a world without homophobia.
It is a Gay movie, not a BL movie, but it will get a huge BL fandom. East Asian Gay movies get world promotion through the BL fandom.

There are possible strategies to defeat homophobiua besides electoral politics.
New York Times is having a six-part podcast, “The Protocol,” about the origins of medical treatment for transgender young people.
This is the link to the podcast intro to the series.

No one is quite sure what the podcasts will say on the issue, but there is some speculation that it will be very critical of the whole “gender affirming” care thing for young people.
The LGB Courage coalition has this Substack post on it.
I am speculating, but I think the Democrats are desperate to break free of gender ideology. The New York Times is the public relations agency for the Democrats and will be working to help the Democrats break free.
The usual groups that like to call everything fascist are upset about it.
