They cut you off from replying to messages on Facebook messenger also.

The Facebook cutoff
I was sharing to the atheist groups my research on the archeology of the Bible in a post for the Gay Atheist Action newsletter when I got cut off.
It wanted me to delete dozens of my posts.
If you refuse to delete your posts and click on Skip, you get this blank page. There is no way to appeal.
There is no point to be on Facebook if I can’t post serious content, so I am just letting this be as it is. I don’ get much engagement on Facebook and have been considering if the effort of posting was worth it. Lately sharing a post has been done a day or two or three after posting in Substack since it seems to be a marginal activity.
Gay artists are having to either heavily censor their works, or they are getting kicked off without notice or explanation.
This artist had built up 36,000 followers on his account and then it disappeared.
His current account has a little under 6,000 followers. He lost 30,000 follows.
I call it the Meta Massacre. By the way, if you are a Gay artists consider Bluesky or X.
Facebook Messenger is also cut off. I can see messages sent, but I can’t reply. If you had intergrated your communications into Facebook, you would be in a bad situation.
Be on multiple platforms and multiply connect.
Don’t be a victim, be a survivor.
Constantly mention your other accounts and try to get followers to connect on those platforms.

It is a bad strategy to let an abuser have more control over your future. Really think about what would happen if Facebook just blocked or deleted you.

A really ideological platform and very censorious. I just got shoved off since I didn’t fit the prevailing ideology.
Conclusion
Have a strategy in place and that you are following so you aren’t a total victim.
it's maddening that we have little control - other than shifting platforms - over technology directing our actions and well-worn habits. We are slowly, perhaps insidiously, yielding our freedoms over to the algorithms that oversee and then determine our choices..
