Getting Tough fighting against Religious anti-Gay Persecution
I am really getting tired of seeing Gay people get victimized and beat up.
Read carefully so you don’t misunderstand what my point is.
Introduction – I am really tired of seeing Gay people get beat up and persecuted.
I have been watching and reading about Gay people getting beat up and subjected to persecution all over the world. I am frustrated by the lack of an effective response by the Gay community or the LGBTQXYZ to stop being victimized by the actively anti-Gay religious.
I am beginning to see ways in which we can make these actively anti-Gay religious movements seriously regret having anti-Gay campaigns without violence.
I am also realizing why the Gay community and the LGBTQXYZ haven’t undertaken these measures. For the LGBTQXYZ it would involve being seen as troublemakers for the local establishment which gives them funding and the Stonewall Democrats don’t do these actions, since these tactics would cause trouble for the Democrats.
Also, these opportunities would mean a rejection of a certain sentimental sugary type of liberalism. It would also upset Gays who worry what the reaction of straight conservatives might be and Gay people who are afraid of any turmoil or strong emotions.
I don’t care about the possible disapproval. I don’t care how unpopular my approach is with various segments of the Gay community or how the LGBTQXYZ might react or how society in general will react. The attacks on Gays must stop!
A small number of determined, dedicated and directed Gay activists can do way more than the large LGBTQ+ group composed of people who not focused, not dedicated, and not determined group and afraid of any angry emotions.
We have the means at hand to stop attacks on Gays. We just don’t use them.
Bypassing the LGBTQXYZ
One way to discredit the LGBTQXYZ establishment is to show how they grossly neglect the welfare of the Gay community. What could be a more gross a neglect of the Gay community than ignoring the opportunities to stop violence and the persecution of Gays?
Just posting on Twitter tweets about the absurdities of some of the LGBTQXYZ isn’t in itself going to get us anywhere.
Once we get this campaign underway, we will be unavoidably in the news and the mainstream media won’t be able to ignore us.
This isn’t an anti-Gay-Christian campaign.
This isn’t an anti-Gay-Christian campaign. I really don’t like those efforts in the LGBTQXYZ to run people out of the Gay community because of some partisan agenda. I have written specifically against the efforts to ban police from Pride Parades.
Also, I don’t have a problem with Christians that aren’t anti-Gay or even with anti-Gay Christians who aren’t running an anti-Gay campaign. If it is something internal to themselves and they aren’t campaigning against Gays, it isn’t going to be part of the agenda I am proposing. I am specifically talking about actively anti-Gay Christians.
I will be criticizing some Gay Christians or more specifically some behaviors of some Gay Christians, but I will also be interested in what Gay Christians can effectively do to help defend the community.
I will be proposing alternatives to Christianity for Gays to consider, but mostly as a strategic thing, and not because of any sectarian or theological idea I might have. When it come to religions, I just care about which cats will catch mice. That will not be in this essay.
How Some Gay Christian activities that undermine the Gay community
There are some activities of Gay Christians and Christians who are supportive of the Gay community that undermine the Gay community’s ability to mount a defense against attacks by anti-Gay Christians.
[1] “Real” Christianity: When some anti-Gay campaign or attack on Gays by some Christian group is mentioned, almost always someone will say, “That’s not real Christianity.” Variations on this are “early Christianity” and “the Christianity of the Gospels.”
This is more about defending Christianity than worrying about the defense of Gays. It usually shuts down the discussion and the discussion doesn’t progress to what the Gay community could do to defend itself. Sometimes, unfortunately it misdirects the conversation to discussing or debating the subject of what “real” Christianity is, or how the Christian faith is changing, instead of what might be done about these attacks by the Anti-Gay Unreal Christians. Gay atheists aren’t necessarily any better, and want to go discuss atheism or debate Christians.
Take the discussion of “real” Christianity elsewhere, you have the right do discuss it, but the Gay community needs to focus on the serial attacks of the Unreal Christians that are occurring globally and come up with a plan.
[2] Conflating the Gay Christian Agenda with the general Gay Agenda: Of course. a Gay Christian will be concerned with Christianity and how he might be Gay and Christian. Gays are often members of various movements and most of us have to navigate being Gay and part of some profession, movement, or political party.
The problem comes in when Gay Christians assume that their personal agenda is the agenda of the Gay community as a whole precluding other approaches to actively anti-Gay Christians. Of course, having any group of Gays advance in nearly all segments of society is good, but it doesn’t mean every particular point of a Gay subgroup’s agenda aligns with the Gay community in general. The next points are examples, of this problem.
[3] Always bringing up theological arguments about the Bible: In discussing some attack against Gays, someone will always mention that the Bible isn’t anti-Gay.
First, this is an example of conflating the Gay Christian agenda with the general Gay agenda. This is a concern of Gay Christians, but Gay Christians are a minority of the Gay Community. It is okay that Gay Christians are concerned with this, but they shouldn’t assume that the rest of the Gay community is concerned.
Second, this makes the Gay communities right to exist contingent on the outcome of theological debate about the Bible and is dragging every Gay person’s right to exist back into the Bible.
Gays have a right to exist and our position should be that we don’t live in a theocracy and a particular religious group is attacking society when they try to push a theocratic agenda against Gays. Our right to breath exists outside the Bible, Talmud, Koran, or whatever religious book that someone might have.
[4] Minimizing the anti-Gay agenda of some Christians: There is a vague idea that the issue of anti-Gay Christianity is the province of Gay Christians or that they will take care of it, or that the issue is owned by them. To make their efforts by Gay Christians regarding anti-Gay Christianity seem credible, they tend to over represent their progress.
Gay Christian claims of progress are used to preclude taking other approaches. After all, if the problem is going to be solved and Christians are going to cease being anti-Gay, the claim could be made that other approaches might antagonize and undermine the supposed good progress of the Gay Christians. This is not a valid argument. We need our rights now and anti-Gay Christians need to quite their anti-Gay campaigns now. Additionally, if an aggressive campaign against anti-Gay Christians was being undertaken, these anti-Gay Christians might be much more willing to reexamine their attitudes and listen to the Gay Christians.
For example, when something is said by the Pope of the Catholic Church and it is claimed to be some shift in the church’s position, though this shift is often so small it might need a seismograph to detect. Gay Catholics will then inform others that the Catholic church, “moves slowly,” as if this is okay and seemingly unaware that we aren’t going to live forever. There was supposedly progress in the United Methodist Church until the denomination decided to align with the global anti-Gay majority of its members and now many of the United Methodist churches in the United States are disuniting. Other mainstream denominations which aren’t hostile to Gays are in decline.
The anti-Gay (Unreal?) Christians are the ones that seem to have done better and represent the future of Christianity. However, whether they will be or not, isn’t important.
In the end Gay Christians may be victorious, however the future is opaque to the vision of the present. The physical welfare of the Gay community shouldn’t be tied to the outcomes of the Gay Christians who currently don’t seem to be doing well, and even when they are, the progress is slow and often marginal.
When do we want our rights? We want them now.
We aren’t obligated to stop pursuing our agenda, because the Gay Christians might be actively dealing with anti-Gay Christianity and they happen to think our agenda will interfere with their agenda regardless of how favorable the Gay Christian’s agenda might seem to be working at the time.
[5] The Gay community comes first. Gay Christians don’t put being Gay first. It isn’t a particular failing of Gay Christians. We all face having to navigate choices, but nevertheless, being Christian comes first with Gay Christians by definition.
It is up to Christianity to figure out how they exist in a universe with Gays, not for Gays to figure out how they fit into Christianity. This needs to be our position, it is a position that Gay Christians can’t take, and is in fact the opposition position of the Gay Christians.
Going forward, the Gay Christians should continue to work on their goals and pursue their agenda. It would be really useful that they can work inside Christianity to make it less anti-Gay (Less unreal?).
However, their agenda shouldn’t be allowed to undermine the agenda to defend the Gay community. Likely an ongoing dialog might be useful, long as it isn’t complaining about the Gay community taking an aggressive agenda against anti-Gay religious attacks.
Gay Christians might find us useful to press Christians not to empower us by running anti-Gay campaigns.
The focus of aggressively defending ourselves against anti-Gay religious isn’t to be arguing with Gay Christians, but only to respond to criticisms and impediments made by Gay Christians that are obstacles to an effective defense of the Gay community.
[6] Some Gay Christians have come to the defense of homophobic religious leaders and Churches. I have a link to an article on one case which I will put after this article.
[7] Some Gay Christians like to misrepresent any discussion of defense against anti-Gay Christians as being an attack on Christianity and attempt to stop effective activities.
[8] Gay Christians have created this idea that the only solution to anti-Gay Christianity is to win the struggle within Christianity among Christians over the issue of Gays. Alternatives are just not thought of. Given that the outcome of this campaign is doubtful it is really an undermining of Gay security.
Tactics to Campaign Against Actively Anti-Gay Christians
We aren’t powerless. The actively anti-Gay Christians have vulnerable points. Also, in many cases, there will be other individuals, organizations, groups, movements, political factions which will have interests against the same Christian group we are working against. They may not choose to be public about it, but they will be glad to see what we do. Even without them, we have opportunities. This essay will highlight who might be supportive of our efforts. Again, we aren’t powerless.
Once you stop thinking sentimentally about the issue of anti-Gay Christians and start thinking about possible actions outside the Gay Christian campaign, opportunities to push back appear. This essay isn’t going to be putting forth all possibilities, since the author has just started to think about the possibilities.
In this essay I may not always write “actively anti-Gay Christians,” but all these measures are regarding specifically those groups which are “actively anti-Gay.”
What we can do to fight back.
[1] Christians invited to secular activities. I did a review of the persons giving invocations before the Dallas City Council and showed that from June to November 2022, 3/4th of them were anti-Gay or from anti-Gay organizations. The Dallas Mayor’s Office has told the press that this will stop.
This is the article in the local paper.
This is a proposed activity which has already been demonstrated to be able to achieve its goals. I won quickly and totally.
Those giving invocations to a public body are defined as those who are legitimate to give guidance to the meeting members and to invoke divine favor for the meeting. Anti-Gay people aren’t legitimate to give to any public body any guidance or to invoke divine favor.
It didn’t take much effort to do review and monitor who was giving the invocations and research the who the invocators were. I was able to review both the City of Dallas as well as Dallas County using on average about one-hour a week. This not only prevented these groups from getting prestige, publicity and legitimacy from giving invocations, but also defines them as unfit.
There should be a review of the invited religious speakers to give introductions to all meetings. We should review who gives graduation speeches.
If they want to be anti-Gay, that is unfortunate, but that is their choice. I am not asking that they be arrested, I am asking that they not be promoted by public bodies.
Hopefully being banned from giving invocations might make some churches think twice about jumping on some anti-Gay bandwagon.
The slots to give invocations are limited and likely desired by churches. The City of Dallas is thinking of having its police and firemen chaplains give the invocations. However, in other places the banning of an actively anti-Gay Christian group opens up the possibility for other NOT actively anti-Gay Christian groups. They have a self-interest in rejecting anti-Gay persons giving invocations, though they may not be public in supporting the campaign against anti-Gay clergy. Gays won’t be alone in supporting these banning of actively anti-Gay clergy from invocations, and Gays won’t be alone in a lot of these activities fighting back against anti-Gay Christians.
[2] They shouldn’t be regarded as moral authorities: Even though various groups of Roman Catholic bishops are running one anti-Gay campaign or another, here and there globally, some sentimental liberal will want to quote Pope Francis statement in support of their particular liberal campaign with the idea that Pope Francis is a legitimate moral leader.
Roman Catholics are the majority of Christians in the world and run campaigns against Gays globally. Popes, Bishops, priests, nuns, and others in the Catholic church authority should not be allowed to be considered moral authorities any discussion. Attempts to do so should be challenged.
Consider, if Pope Francis was suddenly revealed to be anti-Semitic, you can be entirely assured that he wouldn’t be quoted by liberals or progressives about any topic. The fact that he is quoted by persons purporting to be progressive, shows how shallow liberal support for Gays is with many individuals.
Our position should be, if they are anti-Gay, they are not moral authorities and should not be regarded or quoted as if they are. Gays need to point out both the anti-Gay activities of religious and the how using them as moral authorities is basically anti-Gay.
If these anti-Gay Christian groups lost their moral authority they would be greatly diminished as threats to the Gay community.
Also, some churches will likely think twice before undertaking an anti-Gay campaign if they realize that they might be discredited as a moral voice.
[3] Clergy of anti-Gay groups shouldn’t be on municipal committees where there is scope for discriminating against Gays. They shouldn’t be on housing committees, arts and cultural affairs committees, etc. They certainly should be on any ethics committee or civil rights committee or a committee which is to provide ethical guidance. They need to learn that homophobia means they are unclean.
Very importantly, I am not asking that members of those churches be automatically excluded. Individuals should be judged on their expressed views like any other appointee to a committee. However, clergy, are required to adhere to the tenets of their faith.
[4] Support U.S. Embassies flying a Pride Flag during Pride month. This not only supports LGBT rights overseas often in opposition to Christian anti-Gay campaigns, but it works to surface the true agenda of some Christians. On Christian group which represented itself as just about the issue of persecuted Christians, in a conference revealed clearly their anti-Gay agenda when they complained about U.S. embassies flying flags. This flag flying by the embassies also is confronting Christian homophobia globally.
[5] Research the agendas of some of these Christian groups organized to fight persecution.
There was a conference report by the organization International Christian concern, ( https://www.persecution.org/ ) They concern themselves with what they consider the persecution of Christians globally.
This is the report on the Internet Archive, the report has been moved behind a paywall.
This is the link where you can find it.
On page 9 in that document, Peter Burns, is arguing against the policy of the President Obama administration State Department advocating for the rights of “LGBTQ communities and minorities.” The following are some quotes from this essay. Burns first explains that he doesn’t think LGBTQ rights are not going to be accepted well in foreign nations saying:
So what’s interesting to me is that both of those are issues that I think did not translate well to the people, the audiences that we were pushing them towards. I think that religious freedom is a lot more universal and a better message for the U.S. to have as our flag, our forward facing value proposition.
Burns positions advocating for LGBTQ as being out of step with the values of the world stating.
I think that religious freedom as a value proposition is something that other countries can find much more space to engage with and usually be more receptive to. Also, it is probably more representative of the international community, since America is one of the more postmodern states in the world, one of those trending away from religion being part of civic life as opposed to the rest of the world where it’s still deeply ingrained in civic life.
Burns advocates that the U.S. State Dept. concern itself with religious freedom only because:
… it could be the antidote to some of our mistaken attempts to thrust our values on other countries…
Burns is arguing that having the U.S. State Dept. support the rights of LGBT is an act of aggression against foreign nations, but not supporting the rights of Christians.
A review of some of these groups would show that their agenda isn’t about human rights at all, but just pushing for their own self-interest and that they are actually a menace to human rights themselves.
Making it known what their agenda is, they can be delegitimized and be less able to promote their agenda with the U.S. State Dept. or influence foreign policy which is likely an agenda that is an anti-Gay agenda in foreign nations.
The following are where the gloves are taken off.
[5] Anti-Gay Christian groups shouldn’t get government funding:
The following article, “Millions in Western aid flowed to churches in Ghana despite years of campaigning against LGBTQI+ rights,” shows how governments who are supposedly supporting Gay rights, like the U.S. government, are actually funding the opposition to Gay rights.
It doesn’t seem that this investigative effort was launched by the LGBTQXYZ establishment either. It seems they were asleep on this issue. It also doesn’t seem to have been picked up by the LGBTQXYZ media either since the CNN expose.
We should act locally, state-wide, nationally and internationally to make sure no public money goes to actively anti-Gay religious groups. We shouldn’t expect that the LGBTQXYZ will undertake this issue.
It is likely that in most cases there is strong competition for these public monies and likely there will be charities, social work groups, and other groups that would be glad to see the money directed to them rather than going to an actively anti-Gay Christian group. They may not be public about it, but we will have those who will be supporting our agenda if only out of self-interest.
Likely a lot of charitable groups globally around the world are reading the CNN article about the actively anti-Gay Ghana churches and wondering if they will be impacted. In particular wondering about their future activities and how they might be impacted if they are simultaneously going after Gays or the LGBT+.
It should be understood that just this activity alone would strike a serious blow against actively anti-Gay Christian globally.
[6] Anti-Gay Christians complaining about persecution.
We need to show that their complaint isn’t really about human rights but self-interest.
We can easily pop their balloon of propaganda that their concern is a human rights issue. We can take the wind out of their sails with very little effort in doing research and just by making the facts known. We will have powerful forces interested, if only opportunistically, with our efforts.
Consider this article published by the Union of Catholic Asian News, “India Church unhappy with legalization of homosexuality.” They want to keep homosexuality illegal and the Indian government continuing to persecute Gays by having Gays as a criminal class.
https://www.ucanews.com/news/india-church-unhappy-with-legalization-of-homosexuality/83280
These same Catholics are part of a coalition, Federation of Indian American Christian Organizations (FIACONA) complaining about being persecuted by the Modi government in India and pleading for United States government support to pressure the Modi government. This is their website. Roman Catholics are part of their coalition.
The complaint for Indian Catholics is really that the wrong people are being persecuted and that they, Roman Catholics, aren’t setting the agenda as to who is to be persecuted. Their outrage is that they are being persecuted rather than homosexuals.
On the “About” page is this information.
https://fiacona.org/about/ From this page we learn who makes up this coalition.
FIACONA is a Washington DC based a voluntary, charitable organization advocating on behalf of 1 million strong Indian American Christians from all 50 states and Canada, It is a coalition of Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox, Evangelical, Pentecostal and independent church and civic organizations primarily of Indian Americans.
The webpage is really short on giving out the specific names of denominations, but we know the Orthodox Christians are seriously anti-Gay. The Orthodox Russian church are the main supporters of the persecution of Gays in Russia. The Evangelical are campaigning here to get laws against homosexuality restored. The campaign against Gays in Poland is driven by the Roman Catholics.
It needs to be investigated whether these churches have been strong supporters of human rights in other places. It some cases it will be seen that they are the opponents of human rights, and are just opportunistically using the issue of human rights to try to deceive gullible Americans and employ the power of the United States government for their own purposes.
Again, their concern isn’t human rights, but that the targets of persecution are not the right targets in their viewpoint, that is they are being persecuted and not homosexuals.
They largely will get away with their efforts to make it a human rights issue, if there isn’t a Gay voice to call out the hypocrisy of their position.
Further it should be noted, that while they are being persecuted, they aren’t in a position to go after Gays. They won’t be in a position to campaign for laws to make homosexual acts illegal. One thing the author has noted is that the Christians in mainland China aren’t launching anti-Gay campaigns, like they did in Taiwan.
Gays should also understand that they won’t be alone in opposing FICONA.
How does FICONA expect to be able to influence India? One measure is to influence public opinion, but very likely they will want U.S. and United Nations to have sanctions or other penalties and will want the U.S. State Department to take actions in international forums and issue statements. There might be calls for boycott of India.
However, there are business interest involving trade with India and having manufacturing sites in India. They likely don’t want disruption. India is geopolitically important as an ally to the United States which is currently engaged in an extremely serious global rivalry with Communist China.
FICONA launched its campaign by attacking the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation (GHHF) and they and other Hindu groups are likely to be interested with that which undermines FICONA’S campaign.
In contrast no one is benefited by the FICONA campaign except the member churches of FICONA and American Christians who want to opportunistically employ the power of the United States against their opponents globally.
Christianity spread around the world with imperialism, whether Roman, Spanish and Portuguese, or European. In many places the Christians are identified with the former imperial occupiers and the act of imperialists aggression.
Christians can be arrogant and dismissive of local culture and also easily make themselves be seen as a threat to the culture and identity of a nation or place. When their sometimes obnoxious, arrogant and condescending behavior gets them in trouble they come running to the U.S. State Department to protect them.
The history of Korean Shamanism and its persecution by Christians surely must be instructive to places which still have their indigenous religions surviving. The Christian violent attacks on Pride parades in Korea are likely instructive to people of other religions who note that Christians call their god’s demons. Also, instructive is why all the Shinto and Buddhist Japanese temples didn’t get burned to the ground.
It surely is instructive to people where Christianity hasn’t obliterated their religion to note that the original religions of Europe and Latin America are extinct.
There will be persons in India and the United States who are unsympathetic to FICONA’s efforts and see them as a latter-day imperialism even if they aren’t Hindu nationalists.
Under no circumstances should this essay be seen as support of what the Indian government and Hindu nationalists might be doing to Christians. There is a tendency for Americans wanting to see one side as good and the other as evil in some drama, but life isn’t like that.
These issues regarding FICONA are mostly the same issues wherever Christians run into trouble.
Having these requests for help interrogated in the news, by elected officials, and the U.S. government as to whether they are really human rights issues or just self-interest would likely have the entire world’s Christian community to pause and seriously consider as to whether it should be so busy campaigning against Gays.
A decision by the U.S. State department to not aid some actively anti-Gay group in some foreign nation, would really get these actively anti-Gay groups thinking.
[6] Calling out Christian aggressions against the United States: The United States government sent a Gay ambassador and his spouse to the Dominican Republic. This resulted in a local Roman Catholic bishop to attack the sending of the ambassador as contrary to what the bishop asserted was the conservative Catholic culture of the Dominican Republic.
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/nov/29/dominican-republic-gay-us-ambassador
The Catholic bishops of the Dominican Republic actually sent a formal protest to the U.S. Government.
This is an absurd criticism since foreign nations are just that, foreign. The U.S. government never expected that the ambassadors of the Soviet Union or Communist China to be anything but Communists.
The attack on the American ambassador was an attack on the United States and it should have been treated as such. The American ambassador did have some critical responses to the Catholic bishops, but the U.S. government should have taken it as an attack on the United States.
These Dominican Republican bishops should have had been blocked from visiting the Unites States and blocked from sending officers or priests of their church to the United States. Visas could have been held up for officials of the Catholic Church worldwide wanting or needing to visit the United States. The Vatican ambassador should have been called in for a lecture by a U.S. government official. Discussions with Catholics over situations adverse to them in foreign nations could have been shut down.
Overseas anti-Gay leaders should be on a list of undesirable aliens.
When anti-Gay Christians attempt a blow against Gays by striking a blow against the United States government, we should immediately be asking that there should be a strong response.
[7] Warn and mobilize Gays in non-Christian nations:
As part of this interview this American missionary explains how he has to explain to Thai Gays and Lesbians that they can’t be homosexual and Christian.
https://www.lifeinanewcountry.com/interview-christian-missionary-thailand/
As far as churches go, Thai Christians and missionaries welcome all types of people of any sexual preference or identity to church activities and there quite a few gay and lesbian Thai who come to churches and know Christians. Christians believe that all people are made in God’s image and worthy of respect. However, most Christians in Thailand believe what Christians have been teaching for 2000 years, namely that any sort of sexual expression or activity outside of the marriage of a man and a woman is sin. So if a Thai person wants to become a Christian but is in a sexual relationship with someone who is not their spouse, whether it is someone of the same gender or the opposite gender, then that is something that needs to be addressed. Those are difficult conversations to have, and unfortunately Christians have sometimes said unnecessarily hurtful things. That needs to be acknowledged. At the same time, there are Thai gays and lesbians who feel welcomed by the church even while realizing that they have a decision to make about their sexuality if they want to be a follower of Jesus. I can think of a couple of different Thai men who made the decision to leave behind their gay lifestyle because they discovered the grace of God and wanted to live in obedience to Christ.
The Gays and Lesbians in Thailand may already observe what happens to Gays and Lesbians in Korea where Christians have led violent organized assaults on the Gay community. If they don’t, we need to communicate what happens to them. What Gays could do in the United States, is let Gays in Thailand know we will work to back them up.
Thailand takes in many Christian refugees from all over the world being a friendly people. This is how one missionary group regards local Thai culture.
https://www.abwe.org/serve/countries/thailand
Northeast Thailand is one of the most unreached areas of the country. Less than 0.1% of the population in this region profess faith in Christ. These populations thrive on Buddhism, which denies a personal God, promotes benevolent works, and emphasizes reason and enlightenment as a means to salvation. Spirit worship and traditional religion have taken an enormous toll on the spiritual well-being of the Thai people, promoting a culture of fear and power.
Some of these Christians entered Thailand with tourist visas and stay in violation of the immigration laws of Thailand and the Christian activists call it persecution. I don’t think it will be long before they will ask the United States government to pressure the Thai government to bend their rules and sovereignty. We should appose bullying the Thai government.
Of course, there might not be any reason to warn Thai Gays, they may already be working on the issue, but we can be ready to support them if needed.
Summary
The actively anti-Gay Christians have some really vulnerable points We need to act upon them. We can have a positive impact globally on the welfare of Gays, as we provide serious obstacles to anti-Gay churches in pursuing their agenda.
We also elevate the worth of Gay life when actively anti-Gay Christians pay a severe price for their actions. Gay life isn’t trivial when the penalties for being anti-Gay aren’t trivial.
When we don’t expect severe penalties for attacking Gays, we are ourselves making Gay life trivial.
It is time to get tough.
I plan to start undertaking some of these other means to fight back against Christians in 2023, and I ask for the support of all Gay people, including Gay Christians.
