Lil Nas X is a global phenomenon. I found on the YouTube platform alone his Montero song provided with subtitles in languages from all over the world. You want to know the words in Thai, Turkish, Serbian, Russian, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Indonesian and other languages, there is a YouTube video with the song and the lyrics displayed. I am sure there are other languages.
Lil Nas X Charts and Lil Nas X Stats show huge listen base. They talk about hundreds of millions of listeners, millions of followers. As of this moment, (8/9/2021, 11:04 CST) the Montero video on YouTube has 319 million views and continues to go up in viewers.
Gays and others globally feel that Lil Nas X speaks for them. Everyone who has been impacted or hurt by a certain type of homophobic Christianity feels Lil Nas X is their champion.
This of course has led to a lot of anti-Gay individuals to attack him. One subset of these attacks is that Lil Nas X doesn’t represent a type of African American man that some African American homophobes think he should be.
There is a preview video where Lil Nas X is sentence to prison for being Gay.
After the release of Lil Nas X’s latest hit song, “Industry Baby,” with this video he was subject to homophobic attacks. In response Lil Nas X did a sharp response to one homophobe subjecting the homophobe to ridicule. (They call these clap backs. To me they are slap backs, but I don’t define popular slang.)
This was Lil Nas X’s tweet.
You don’t see it in this tweet, but “Kobby Foundation” uses an African flag tricolor as part of his name.
Once again Lil Nas X stands up to the homophobes with a witty verbal thrust. Once again Lil Nas X is a champion for sexual minorities and Gays everywhere as he faces an onslaught of attacks.
However, for a lot of trans and trans allies this was the occasion to attack Lil Nas X as being transphobic.
Before discussing these attacks on Lil Nas X three important points need to be observed.
First the Twiter ID, Kobby Fonda, who Lil Nas X was responding do is obviously not a person who knows all the complexities of gender, sex, etc. and Lil Nas X need to respond in a way that Kobby Founda, and Kobby Founda’s followers would understand and would be very direct, and a clap back. So, all lower case, Lil Nas X says, “no I just like dick. nothing deep to it lol.” Two short sentences, ten short words total. Like a knife Lil Nas X’s response cuts through the nonsense of Kobby Founda.
Lil Nas X is only talking about himself and his own gayness. He isn’t talking about anyone else or how they might claim to be gay or identify as being gay. Lil Nas X uses the word, “i". And the response is specifically to the point of whether Lil Nas X is faking being gay.
These were some of the replies that weren’t just a few words, such as “That’s transphobic.”
These were in the thread for Lil Nas X tweet. There were other tweets.
Such as these.
There were endless self-righteous attacks on Lil Nas X like this. I am not going to spend time to refute them, except to point out Lil Nas X didn’t say what the things for which they condemned him. For example, taking Dario Gael Brillis above, Lil Nas X didn’t say “men=dick.” Or another example, Bruno, above, Lil Nas X didn’t say “trans men” didn’t exist.
This is the debating tactice where one person asserts the position A and the rebuttal is Anti-B, implying that the position asserted by the first person was B.
However, this is not the most important issue of these attacks, though it does show that the attacks of trans ideologes are largely illogical raging.
Significant was that there was not a single attack on Lil Nas X by the LGBT media or any of the trans organizations or even on Medium, the medium for trans grievance.
I think that the Alphabet Soup establishment knows the limits of its power and what would be the consquence of any establishment group attacking Lil Nas X as being transphobic. Especially since the media was reporting how a rapper DaBaby, his homophobic remarks, and T.I. justifying it on the basis of Lil Nas X “living his truth.”
I think the Alphabet Soup hasn’t forgotten the reactions when in 2014 at an event in Glasgow, Scotland, the alternative Free Pride parade banned drag queens.
There was even an effort later on to deny that there was a ban since it really revealed how repressive and dictatorial the trans leadership might be.
Also, it would likely anger the Gay community to hear that the simple statement, “I like dick,” is being condemned as transphobic.
The whole thing could bring down the hegemony of the Alphabet Soup over the discourse about trans and Gays.
So there weren’t any institutions, Alphabet Soup media, trans organizations attacking Lil Nas X and the twitter attacks have generally stopped.
So it might be seen as a minor twitter storm and not of importance, but it is important for a couple reasons.
First, Lil Nas X is a media power and has tremendous popularity within and without the Gay community. A few hundered self-righteous Alphabet Soup people on twitter can be ignored by him and will be ignored by others with significant influence.
However, it shows what type of pile on that an every day gay person or even a minor celebrity might face.
The Gay community is now existing in an environment where they face a pile of condemnation if they don’t follow the latest trans ideology which seeks to transplain to Gay men who Gay men are and police what their desires should be. We aren’t supposed to be homosexuals, we are supposed to be homogenders which means we should be willing to date a gay trans man who still has a vagina.
And that is what angered the trans ideologes. Lil Nas X was attracted to men with cocks, but wasn’t attracted to transmen who didn’t have cocks, “flesh cocks” to be specific, since to trans ideologes there are cocks not made of flesh. Lil Nas X was like almost all Gay men, he wasn’t going to be into trans men. This has been a source of rage for a lot of trans persons.
The rage against Lil Nas X was the rage of trans incels. (A term originally regarding straight men who called themselves involuntary celibates, since they couldn’t find women who would be interested in having sex with them.)
Second, I think it shows that at some point the Alphabet Soup scolds might be coming after Lil Nas X. I think Lil Nas X is having too much fun.
These Alphabet Soup scolds are competitive in self-righteousness. They strive to be the leading edge of self-righteousness and be the leader of the self-righteous. At some point just condemning some local Gay man or minor person on Facebook isn’t going to put you ahead of all the others in exhibiting self-righteousness.
Then there is Lil Nas X a physically fit, muscular and not overweight Gay man. Though not necessarily “hot” to every Gay man, Lis Nax is a physical type which has wide popularity in the Gay community, but also the type which is the subject of censure by some Alphabet Soup scolds.
Lil Nas X has a Gay male sexuality which isn’t just openly expressed, but very much graphically expressed and joyously expressed, and Lil Nas X is globally known. So many might be jealous, and also many would know you if you attacked him, celebrity fame would shine down on you.
Consider the Body Positivity people who are constantly condeming Gay men who work out or diet or are physically fit. Look at this Facebook page.
https://www.facebook.com/ourbodiesgay
It is fairly obvious that Lil Nas X works out, you see him on twitter and elsewhere as well in his video Industry Baby, working out with weights. He is not overwieght. Instead he is fit, muscular, and very hot. The internet is seething with jealous hostility towards Gay men with abdominal muscle contours visible. The follows of the Facebook book page “ourbodiesgay,” are likely hostile.
A lot of people in life resent those who accomplish something. Rather than self-examine themselves and take initiative to do something, they rather discourage others from doing something or pull them down to their leve.
I think the recent response on twitter of trans people condemning Lil Nas X shows that there is a reservoir of Alphabet Soup scolds ready to go after him when there is the right opportunity or they think it is the right opportunity.
The Gay community needs to realize that the trans ideologues have no limits to bullying the Gay community and no limits to their demands. We can’t ignore them or side step them. Even if we don’t have to deal with them, they will work to block those things we like.
