Democratic Senate candidates are dumping trans ideology. LGBTQXYZ media screaming.
Two U.S. Senate candidates have dumped trans ideology to avoid being defeated at the poles.

List of Democratic candidates dumping trans ideology.
[1] Texas: Candidate for U.S. Senate Colin Allred.
[2] Ohio: U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown.
This list will be updated as more candidates bail from trans ideology to save their political careers.
As trans ideology drags down Democrats, it will drag down abortion rights along with it.
[1] Dem. TX Candidate for US Senate Colin Allred dumps trans ideology.
TX U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz is hammering Allred over the issue of transwomen in girls locker rooms in the schools, and competing in girls sports.
The public just isn’t going to accept swinging dicks in the girls locker room and bumping women out of their opportunities in sports.
So recently Allred made a big shift and said he is opposed to transwomen in girls locker rooms.
0:00 Ted Cruz is lying again but now he's
0:02 lying about our children I'm a dad I'm
0:05 also a Christian and my faith has taught
0:07 me that all kids are God's kids so let
0:10 me be clear I don't want boys playing <=====
0:12 girl sports or any of this ridiculous <====
0:14 stuff that Ted Cruz is saying Ted Cruz
From The Hill, 10/11/2024, “Allred pushes back on Cruz transgender attack ads.”
Cruz’s ad says Allred voted against the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2023 and argues that he is in favor of co-ed bathrooms. The Democratic Senate candidate clarified his stance.
“My faith has taught me that all kids are God’s kids. So let me be clear. I don’t want boys playing girls sports or any of this ridiculous stuff that Ted Cruz is saying,” he continued.

The Advocate understood clearly what Allred was saying and was upset and published this article, “Texas Dem Colin Allred uses anti-trans language to attack Ted Cruz: ‘Don’t want boys playing girls’ sports’.”
A Texas Democratic congressman running to unseat Republican U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz has embraced far-right language around gender identity in a new ad, raising eyebrows, including at the Human Rights Campaign, the country’s largest LGBTQ+ civil rights advocacy group, which endorsed him earlier this year. Rep. Colin Allred, who has been an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, finds himself on the defensive as Cruz’s campaign bombards Texas voters with attack ads centered on fear of transgender people, particularly athletes.

LGBTQnation had an article, Oct. 14, 2024, “Dem releases “ill-advised” dog whistle ad against trans student athletes.”
Texas U.S. House Rep. Colin Allred (D) has become the first national Democratic candidate ever to release a TV ad responding to Republican transphobic attacks.
“I don’t want boys playing girls’ sports,” Allred says in a new ad. The ad is a response to several aired on behalf of his Republican opponent for the U.S. Senate, anti-LGBTQ+ Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX). Cruz’s ads have attacked Allred for supporting the Equality Act — a federal law that would ban anti-LGBTQ+ discrimination — and opposing a national Republican ban on trans athletes in sports.
New York Times reported on this change. Oct. 11, 2024, “In Texas Senate Race, Cruz and Allred Duel Over Youth Sports Without Saying ‘Trans.’”
From the article:
“Ted Cruz is lying again, but now he’s lying about our children,” says Mr. Allred, looking directly into the camera. “I’m a Dad. I’m also a Christian. My faith has taught me that all kids are God’s kids.”
Rather than directly defend his past support for gay and transgender rights, Mr. Allred then adds: “Let me be clear, I don’t want boys playing girls sports.”
The two are likely to continue their clash when they meet on Tuesday in their first and likely only televised debate.

Other media has reported this.
Conservatives haven’t been slow to note the change. Fox News, Oct. 15, 2024, “‘Boys playing girls’ sports’ ad lands Texas Dem in hot water with LGBTQ activists on eve of pivotal debate.”
His statement also drew the ire of other trans activists, including transgender journalist Erin Reed.
"Allred's response is significant. He's the first major Democratic candidate to acquiesce to anti-trans messaging," Reed wrote on X. "His decision to respond this way may be short sighted."
I suspect that Allred won’t be the last candidate to shift their position. No one wants to face certain defeat in an election over something they probably really don’t believe in personally.
Update:
Them, Oct. 15, 2024, “Ted Cruz’s Democratic Opponent Responds to Anti-Trans Ad With Confusing Centrist Statement.”
The wording of that response has drawn criticism from LGBTQ+ advocates. In a recent statement to The Advocate, a spokesperson for the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), which endorsed Allred earlier this year, called on the politician to further clarify his stance on trans athletes.
“Congress Allred needs to explain his comments in this ad,” HRC National Press Secretary Brandon Wolf said. “They simply don’t square with what we know about his record. For years, he has supported our community and worked to protect LGBTQ+ people from discrimination.” [Boldface added.]
Democrats are not going to be happy that the Human Rights Campaign was criticizing Allred when Allred is desperately trying to save his campaign.

[2] Ohio U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown dumps trans ideology.
The video of the new add is at this link and it has a transcript. I am trying to find it on YouTube. Quoting.
Voted biological men friends. What if I told you all of this was a lie, a complete lie and Bernie Moreno knows it. The truth is in Ohio, this has already been banned and Sherrod Brown agrees with Governor dewine. These decisions should be made by local sports leagues, not politicians. We can verify the claim that Brown voted to let transgender biological men participate in women's sports is false. I'm sure Brown and I approve this message.

This has gotten the LGBTQXYZ to start whining.
Advocate, by Erin Reed, Oct. 15, 2024, “'Transgender biological men': Sherrod Brown’s Ohio ad signals the danger of Dems hesitating on trans rights.”
However, some local activists find other parts of the ad troubling, particularly the statement that transgender girls “have already been banned” from Ohio sports and the inclusion of a fact check stating it is “false” that Sherrod Brown “voted to let transgender biological men participate in women’s sports.”
The article also revisits attacking Allred.
Brown is the second prominent Democratic Senate candidate to respond to anti-transgender ads with messaging that risks reinforcing Republican framing. On Friday, Texas Senate candidate Colin Allred released his own ad in response to similar attacks, stating that he “does not support boys in girls’ sports.” The ad was swiftly criticized by transgender advocates, who accused Allred of “throwing transgender people under the bus.”
https://www.advocate.com/election/brown-ohio-ad-trans-rights
This is Erin Reed’s substack newsletter post on Sherrod Brown. Makes claim that anti-transgender ads aren’t effective. Parents don’t want dicks swinging in the girls lockerroom at their daughter’s school. It is an effective campaign.
Force teaming is done in this article by the Washington Blade, Oct. 16, 2024, “Anti-LGBTQ ads dog Democrats in key races as polls tighten.”
They are anti-transgender ads, and not about Lesbians, Gays or Bisexuals.
In response, Allred cut a commercial in which he says, “I’m a dad. I’m also a Christian. My faith has taught me that all kids are god’s kids. So let me be clear. I don’t want boys playing girls sports, or any of this ridiculous stuff that Ted Cruz is saying.”
Brown’s team also responded to the attack with an ad in which the senator calls out misinformation and clarifies his stance — that the participation of trans athletes in competitive sports should be decided not by the government but by the individual leagues.
Then the article decides to excuse Allred and Brown since in the end for the political operatives interviewed, it is all about vote harvesting for the Democrats.
LGBTQnation, Oct. 16, 2024, “Another Democrat bends on trans rights in new ad responding to GOP attacks.”
Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) has become the second Democratic candidate this week to release an ad responding to the GOP’s transphobic attacks – an ominous turn for trans advocates who worry Democrats may be starting to throw trans rights under the bus.
Brown’s response ad plays clips from the attacks and calls them “a complete lie.” But instead of proceeding to express support for trans rights, he reminds voters that Ohio’s state lawmakers had already banned trans girls from sports. He then expressed agreement with the state’s anti-trans Gov. Mike DeWine (R) that the issue of trans women in sports should be left to individual sports leagues and associations rather than the government.
The ad ends with a clip from Ohio news station WKYC verifying that Brown did not vote “to let transgender biological men participate in women’s sports.”
Trans activist and journalist Erin Reed said the language Brown perpetuates in the ad “reinforces the narrative that transgender women are ‘biological men’ and that his assertion about the Ohio state law “suggests a degree of distancing from transgender athletes.”
If any other Democrat dumps trans ideology, they will be added into the above list.
LGBTQXYZ establishment in denial about impact of Republican ads.
Likely the Democrats are not in denial, since they are very connected to their self-interests. So this is likely going to be a conflict.
This is from the Washington Blade article above.
Anti-trans strategy will fail, but the most effective messages concern sports
“I think in the end, it’s going to prove not to work,” Meloy added, referring to the GOP’s strategy of “demonizing our community for political points.”
Echoing remarks from other LGBTQ leaders like Human Rights Campaign President Kelley Robinson, Meloy said the Republicans who leveraged anti-LGBTQ/anti-trans attacks in elections last year and in 2022 were mostly unsuccessful.
The strategy has “not been effective in winning swing districts, in winning battleground states, or even in conservative states,” he said. And “if these messages largely don’t work with independent voters,” Meloy asked, “who are they aimed at?”
This is a webpage by the HRC with the argument that anti-trans ads aren’t effective. We will see soon in 20 days how effective they are.
https://www.hrc.org/news/the-facts-on-anti-trans-ads
A lot has happened since 2022! The public has become aware of the issue much more than they were aware of it in 2022 and they also realize that it isn’t something that is just going to go away on its own.
In 2022 the issue was just developing. Also, the Biden administration wasn’t going to possibly mandate transwomen in men’s school sports and have transwomen in girl’s lockerrooms.
It was before the Olympics. It was before five women’s university volleyball teams refused to play with a trans player. (See post on that story at the end of this post.) The controversy regarding Lia Thomas started before the 2022 elections, but it has continued on into 2024, making the public aware of it. This image and others like it have circulated a lot since 2022. This is was before Lia Thomas was barred from the Olympics.
Parents in the last two years have had time to realize that this is an issue that is going to be happening in the schools for their children, and not some other place.
Also, women in sports have been pushing back and visibly so.
There have been controversies in other sports, swimming, track and field, and cycling.
https://apnews.com/article/cycling-female-transgender-athletes-ban-df45fe58ef1e4402c3996b57a0471df7
It has been a constant news item since 2022 and the pictures of transwomen winning medals compared to women have been in the news.
Again, parents now aware of this issue of biological men competing in women’s sports and being in the girls lockerroom and that it very possibly happen.
It isn’t 2022, it is 2024.
Republicans realize that being against boys in the girls lockerroom is a winning issue.
This article also has a fairly good explanation how dissenters from trans extremism were silenced.
https://nypost.com/2024/10/15/opinion/gop-candidates-transgender-slams-put-democrats-on-defense/
National Review is noticing how Democrats are crumbling when confronted with the issue.
It’s only now, when they are getting punished on the issue, that Democrats are coming out and saying, in effect, that they’ve favored the gender binary all along.
Fighting off a challenge from Democratic representative Colin Allred, Texas senator Ted Cruz has targeted the congressman for his opposition to a bill called the Protecting Women and Girls Sports Act. In a sign that the attack was working, Allred responded in his own ad: “I don’t want boys playing girls’ sports or any of this ridiculous stuff that Ted Cruz is saying.”
This led to denunciations of Allred from the left. According to the LGBT publication The Advocate, he “embraced far-right language around gender identity in a new ad” — the offending words presumably being “boys” and “girls.”
Similar ads have run wherever there is a competitive Senate race, many of them from the Mitch McConnell campaign outfit, the Senate Leadership Fund.
In Ohio, the embattled incumbent Democratic senator Sherrod Brown has also responded with an ad calling the idea that he supports males competing against females in sports “a complete lie.” The spot points out that Ohio has already prohibited such intrusions. But in an interview with the aforementioned Advocate last year, Brown harshly denounced such laws.
“I think all this shows is that there’s still so much hate in this country,” he said, “and by extension hate in politics. Politicians who introduce and support these prohibitive bills should be ashamed of themselves, and it’s my hope that their constituents see through these ugly efforts.”
Brown wants us to believe that he’s had a sudden — and surely instantly revocable, if he survives — conversion.

The Democrats and the LGBTQXYZ establishment will need to consider whether pushing biological men into women’s sports and lockerrooms is good for their credibility or image.
As of today, 10/15/2024, Harris nationally is only 2.4% in the polls. Since the Electoral College over represents small rural states, like North Dakota, the projection of Harris winning is 54 versus 45 for Trump. I think that about 2% of the public are unwilling to admit to a pollster they will vote for Trump and actually Harris is headed towards a defeat. With the issue of men in sports suddenly being very visible and Dems identified with men in women’s sports, the Dems are facing a disaster. That is why Allred has bailed from the ideological trans train.
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2024-election-forecast/?cid=rrpromo
This grassroots movement of women standing up for themselves, the volleyball teams forfeiting games rather than play transwomen, represents a highly visible movement of women’s athletes who are fighting for women’s rights. This will lead to questions about what the existing feminist establishment was doing while men were invading women’s sports and women were resisting this invasion. So far it is nothing, and often collusion with the trans ideologues pushing men in women’s sports.
The question will be what were university women’s studies departments saying or gender studies departments saying before and during this struggle. Again the answer is at best nothing and with many collusion. They were enablers and defenders of men in women’s sport.
Further the LGBTQXYZ establishment’s record will be a record of opposing women’s rights and bringing down abortion rights.
Also, very concerning is that trans extremism is basically empowering homophobic Christianity. When a trans issue is posed as a forced teamed LGBTQ issue, the homophobic Christians see an opportunity to go after the rights of Lesibans, Gays, and Bisexuals.
The Democrat have already started to realize that the trans extremists are taking them over the cliff to electoral defeat. The establishment is realizing that trans ideology is leading to disasters. I think we will find that the establishment is going to start seeing gender studies departments, the LGBTQXYZ establishment, and the trans establishment as rogue elements mortally endangering them.
Basically the Democrats are trying to flee a burning building and the LGBTQXYZ are trying to lock them in the burning building.
