Medical science is really moving. This will be really good for Gay health.
I am just amazed at the many discoveries and developing technologies for medical treatment for diseases which are developing. Probably the limiting factor now is that there are so many opportunities to pursue, that they may not have enough people or money to pursue all of them at once.
However, as one disease is dealt with, researchers can move on to the other.
In this post, I want to update people on the developments specific to Gay health concerns, and also just show how medical science is really moving.
These updates are from very credible science sources.
At the end of the post, I will have links to directory posts which archive developments in Gay health related medical science.
New HIV vaccine trail has been started. Uses CMV virus vector, not mRNA.
We don’t have all the eggs in one basket. And if this vaccine works and the mRNA works, likely getting both vaccines will give an even better immunity.
Another article about it.

Basically, this new drug it acts like a very, very long-lasting type of PREP.

TB is a serious threat to people with HIV infection. Progress is happening.
Tuberculosis is a real threat to people with HIV. These articles show positive developments towards a vaccine for them. The first link is to an article behind a paywall, I just have it to show this is a credible scientific development. You can read the 2nd link.

We should be worried about Dengue. Mpox (monkeypox) wasn’t supposed to be an STD, but it was.
Even if it doesn’t turn out to behave like an STD, we need the federal government to get moving on this. In Columbia it impacted cities where Gays primarily live.

The progress of getting this vaccine, was held up by what I imagine to be a panel of persons wanting to be persons wanting to be some panel of elect saints. We need to have concerns with safety, but we also need a dengue vaccine soon. Very soon.
The fact that the medical establishment has stopped fussing and adopted this method, will have a benefit. There are other diseases in which a challenge trial will be a way to get research moving faster. You can’t have an effective vaccine trail if there isn’t an ongoing rate of infection with the public. This can’t be used for everything. If a disease is mostly fatal you wouldn’t be able to have a control group and if the drug or vaccine didn’t work, you would have a disastrous result.
In Columbia they were able to get dengue to drop 94 to 97% in three cities with mosquitos specially infected by a bacteria. Trials of this method in the United States has been blocked by the hysterical wing of the environmental movement. I support the environment, but there are fringe elements.
This method has no chemicals, no spraying, but efforts to do tests in the United States have been met with fierce resistance.

GENERAL DEVELOPMENTS
The armament of medical science is expanding and becoming more capable. Though the following articles are specifically directed to specific Gay health concerns, they should how the abilities of medical science is increasing greatly. Surely this will be of benefit to specific Gay health concerns.
Cancer
I don’t know if Gays are specifically susceptible to any cancers, but this is likely going to help the public’s health in general.

As the climate warms up, malaria will be more likely in the United States.

Rings of RNA expected to be revolutionary as mRNA therapies.
Able to do things that mRNA can’t.

CRISPR Moving forward.
I don’t see a specific Gay health application. However, if this CRISPR technology does work safely it will very likely be useful for some Gay health needs. Like cut HIV genetic material out of human cells, or give T-cells new powers.
