Thank you for your great work. I'm a microbiologist and I read the article on the syphilis vaccine with great interest. The methodology is always quite interesting cause I know what it usually entails standing there in the lab. So in this case it says "T. pallidum is primarily
obtained from rabbit testes, but the procedure is complex". Well that sounds quite unexciting. But what it actually means is that some poor PhD student has to jerk off quite many poor syphilis infected rabbits quite often to obtain enough material to extract enough of the germ to work on. Lol!!! Hence-" the procedure is complex." lol Real life can be quite hilarious when you know the details.
