BL project to use cultural forces to fight homophobia is still underway.

Split this week’s newsletter into two, since there is so much happening. Might have a third part for Gay art.
Survival tips section? What is a Gay agenda anyways?
I think about this, since I think we might be in for a rough time.
The LGBTQXYZ+ publications give this impression that Gays are never in financial stress, they have money to travel all the time most everywhere, and they have these fabulous apartments or houses. For Gays who are able to do this, enjoy life. Nothing wrong with enjoying life. Much of this focus is driven by the need to have advertisers and having an affluent readership gets advertisers. However, the needs of these publications aren’t necessarily the needs of the Gay community.
The great majority of Gays are subject to the same social stresses and issues that the society as a whole is subject to. They are straining to pay rent, get work, put food on the table, meet life needs, and generally get by. Generally their only strategic advantage is that they don’t have children to care for and the financial demands that go with child raising. I intend to write for the Gays who struggle, who are the great majority of Gays.
Sometimes I have little things I have done to get an edge to deal with challenges, which I think are called life hacks now. However, are these things part of a Gay agenda?
I have two contrary ideas.
If Gays in general have less of a social safety net, almost anything for personal social safety such as food security is a Gay agenda. What can be considered the Gay agenda then expands so much, that the core issues for Gays get obscured.
On the other hand, if my readers are hungry or suffering something or another, they aren’t going to be interested in a Gay agenda and they are vulnerable to depending on others who may be homophobic.
I am a Gay person who is 73 and I have survived a crashing industry and I have done planning to avoid a lot of the hazards that many have fallen prey to. I have ended up doing fairly well. I also learned from mistakes. However, much of what I learned would be of benefit to most everyone. So are these things part of the Gay agenda?
On the other hand, (the 3rd hand), if the Gay community as a whole isn’t as impacted as much by some problem than society as a whole, they will be strategically in a better position to deal with what homophobic issues they might face and to pursue or support a Gay agenda.
A Gay person who isn’t impacted by something, can help a Gay person who has been impacted.
But again, I think there are very critical issues about being Gay and the focus on them could be lost when suddenly most everything becomes part of the Gay agenda.
I like to come up with an analytical solution to issues, but I am unable to do so in this case. I think I will just have some type of quota of life hack material, so it doesn’t obscure core Gay issues. Or maybe there is only so much that I know, and when I have written it down, there won’t be much more for me to write. There will be just little bits here and there.
Homophobic S. Korean President Yoon removed from office. Gay marriage.
This is a big step for Gay marriage in S. Korea and a big set back for anti-Gay Korean Christians who can be violently anti-Gay.

These Korean anti-Gay Christians have deep connections with homophobic Christians in the United States. So this is a victory for Gays in the United States. It is a global world for Gay rights.
Some of the Facebook groups I follow have Gays there campaigning against Yoon. I use Google translate, and the translations are not good, so it is hard to follow.

You will need to Google Translate with your Google browser.

There are likely other groups, but these are two which I follow.
Prospects for Gay marriage.
So far two Southeast & East Asian nations have adopted Gay marriage, Taiwan and Thailand. Recently another high court in Japan said he ban on Gay marriage was unconstitutional.

There are ongoing efforts in Vietnam that have made significant progress.

So the prospects for Gay marriage in East and Southeast Asia are improving.
I think as each East or Southeast nation adopted Gay marriage it will encourage other East or Southeast nations to adopt Gay marriage.
We need to consider that it is important to have Gay liberation in more than one cultural sphere on the globe. If things go really bad in one part of the world, Gay liberation will continue in another. Right now we have almost all of our Gay eggs in the Western basket.
Right wing TV in Korea tried to make impeaching Yoon a conspiracy of Gay Marxists.
Smartphones, teens, and fear mongering.
Nature, April 2, 2025, “Do smartphones and social media really harm teens’ mental health?”
I remember growing up in the 1960s and there was fearmongering over comic books that they were causing juvenile delinquency. There was hysteria about violence in cartoons. Tom and Jerry cartoons were going to make the youth of American violent psychopaths.
I also suggest that the alleged increasing rates of mental problems is perhaps a social contagious and also psychologists and counselors looking for cash flow.
Gay teenagers in homophobic environments and households probably need their smartphones to find out about Gay life.
This is the reason parents tend to believe this type of alarming nonsense.
Parents are troubled by this technology because “it’s new, it’s different, and it’s not the way that they were raised”, says psychologist Sarah Coyne at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

The field of psychology has had one fad or craze or ideological thing found to be stuff and nonsense latter. I did a brief history of the follies of the field of psychology going back into the 19th century when slaves running away were alleged to have suffered from a mental illness. The history is in the following post.
BL project.
This is another BL from Taiwan. It fluffy and cliche. I am not asking that you watch it. Just use it to support getting a local BL subculture going. Share it on social media.
Not all the ways of advancing the situation of Gays is going to be electoral politics.

I couldn’t find a trailer for the series. Remember these series are made for straight women and have a global audience.
