20250623C Struggling to keep up with all the anti-Gay religious activity in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
I am in the belly of the beast.
Subscriptions are free.
For a report on the anti-Gay Christians on the Texas House Criminal Jurisprudence Committee.
I have tracked down all the churches and homophobic Chrisitan affiliations of those who voted against decriminalizing homosexuality except for Wes Virdell.
So much local Dallas Fort Worth homophobia, I am struggling to keep up.
I am really in the belly of the beast. Sometimes there is a new story about some local church or religious group where the Dallas Morning News omits their homophobia. I make sure locally people know.
Sometimes the attacks on Gays by local religious groups happens so fast I can’t keep up reporting and documenting it.
Since in a lot of cases it involved national groups which I also needed to document it means multiple posts. A post on the national group and then a post on the local church. If it is a homophobic politician, it can be then three posts, on him, his church and then the church’s denomination.
These articles about fighting homophobic churches is about item #1.
Protect Gays from harm, including assault, physical and verbal, defamation, so-called converstion therapy, and discrimination
Christ for the Nations (Christ for the Crazies) is just 2 miles south of me.
This is where Vance Boelter went to school. The City of Dallas refuses to have a hate crimes unit or a human rights commission.
This is why I have a post on physical security.
Did a report on them.
Global anti-Gay church.
Every time the Dallas Morning News doesn’t mention that a religious group is anti-Gay when they do a story on them, I do a report on their homophobia.
Since there are so many Christian homophobes around here, some weeks I have to do a lot of reporting to keep up.
I am documenting the religious backgrounds of those who opposed decriminalizing homosexual conduct in Texas.
The Texas House Representative Mitch Little who voted against decriminalizing homosexual conduct is a preacher at this church.
My method of reporting about items for the Dallas Gay Liberation newsletter.
Locally we have this person who prevented a historical marker about a raid at the Rainbow Lounge in Fort Worth in 2009.
https://www.chron.com/culture/article/fort-worth-texas-lgbtq-history-marker-20379741.php
I the history of the raid on the Rainbow Lounge as part of this report contrasting how the Fort Worth Gays fought back, and the Dallas Gays tried to forget it happened.
I wrote four separate posts to report on it.
First post: The church that Tarrant County Judge Tim O’Hara (it is a Texas title for the head of the country board) goes to and what type of church it is. It turns out that it is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention and I already have a reference post on their homophobia.
Second Post: Christian Legal Society. Tim O’Hara was a member of the board of directors earlier for four years.
Third Post: Judge Tim O’Hara’s history of anti-Gay actions.
Fourth Post: Tim O’Hara blocking the marker.
The first and second posts list above might turn out to be useful in reporting on other anti-Gay action. Some other anti-Gay politician might come from his church, First Baptist Grapevine, Texas. Also, the Christian Legal Society has a chapter in Dallas, Texas. They are national, so I might be reporting on them for the general newsletter. So I will likely need a report on them when some other person is involved with anti-Gay activities.
When I report on some new anti-Gay thing done by Tim O’Hare, I will do a post on the latest action, but will have a background post to put in the report.
Plus, I am building up a library of research for others.
But it does take time.

One of the speeches in at the Christian Legal Society is how they expect Christianity to dominate the world.
If they do, the Gay community is done for.
