Body Positivity and Fat Liberation reveal themselves to be death cults with the arrival of anti-obesity drugs. So-called Ozempic Face.
The left mocks anti-vaxxers but supports Body Positivity and Fat Liberation. A reminder, it is absolutely unacceptable to make fun of obese people.

Before I begin this article, it is
unacceptable to make fun of obese people.
It is very difficult to lose weight. So obese people aren’t even trying, but others do make an effort. The medical science on obesity shows many complexities.
On to the article.
Fat Liberation and Body Positivity movements have become the liberal/left equivalant of the right-wing anti-vaxxer movement.
Body Positivity Movement and Fat Liberation trying scare tactics against weight loss drugs.
As I said in my 20230807 newsletter, the Fat liberation movement would see that effective weight loss drugs would shut down their movement.
The Body Positivity has also realized the mortal danger of the weight loss drugs. This was posted on 10/2/2023. The article referred to is dated 6/15/2023.
This is the Facebook link to the above Facebook post by Gay Men & Our Body Image.
This is the Queety article, which trys to make Ozempic seem as sinster as possible and the Gays who use it are wicked.
On TikTok, gay men like this “Ozempic daddy” have no shame admitting that they’re using the drug, and even shamelessly reveal they’ve stolen their supply from neighbors who need it for actual medical conditions.
Are all Gays using Ozempic stealing it? This one person is being represented as the entire Gay user base. Also, maybe the solution is to make it generally available for weight loss.
The motivation to have a hot body is represented as pathological and Ozempic as dangerous.
So far the topic of Ozempic in the queer community has remained fairly quiet, which makes us wonder if users of the controversial drug are ashamed to admit it, or don’t want to show weakness around body insecurity. However, it’s important that we acknowledge the potential dangers of a drug whose long-term effects are yet to be seen. If more queer celebrities and influencers would document their journey publicly, perhaps we could all learn from their experiences and be more informed before popping the pill.
There is no data showing any long term danger. Also, hopefully once you have lost weight you find a way to keep it off. It is not intended that you use it long term.
Keeping the weight off after you use Ozempic or Wegovy should be the focus of Queerty, but that would be a rejection of Fat Liberation and Body Positivity ideology.
If you think this movement against anti-obesity drugs is confined to just Queerty, think again.
This is an article in Wired, “The Problematic Arrival of Anti-Obesity Drugs.”
The subtitle is:
Fat activists say they’re tools of coercion. Celebrities are taking them to get slim. Is this really the road people want to go down?
https://www.wired.com/story/anti-obesity-drugs/
I would ask, “Are heart attacks, diabetes, flat feet, and limited physical abilities a better road to go down?”
From the article:
Members of the fat acceptance community—a decades-old social justice movement that has sought to reclaim the word “fat”—warn that these treatments risk entrenching the fat stigma that pervades society. Celebrating these drugs is “reinforcing for the general public the idea that fat is diseased and bad, and that we should be trying to eradicate fat people,” says Tigress Osborn, the chair of the National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance (NAAFA). (People within the fat activist community prefer the term “fat,” as they view “obesity” as a medicalized term that pathologizes bigger bodies.)
Of course, if you want to be obese it is your right. However, the Fat Liberationists know that a lot of the members of the Fat Liberationist movement are only in it because they don’t have an easy way to lose weight and they want people to still date them, and get two airplane seats for the price of one ticket, and stuff like that. They want to whine and complain about people who do lose weight and keep in shape because it makes them feel guilty and bad.
This is a typical post denouncing people who keep in shape. People who are physically active and have shared sports activities are likely all in shape. Gay Men & Our Body Image is the same person pushing Ozempic scare tactics.
The Fat Liberation movement knows that if a pill appears and makes it easy to lose weight, maybe 99% of their supporters will quietly lose weight.
Once these drugs can be taken orally, I think that the user base of anti-obsesity drugs will increase tremendously. The Fat Liberation movement will collapse.
Ozempic Face scare tactic
If you lose weight you face will look different. I have lost a large amount of weight recently in preparation for a vacation, and in the mirror my face isn’t the puffed up thing it was. I think I look better.
However, to discourage people from taking weight loss drugs the Fat Liberationists and Body Positivity people have started to have a scare tactic that you will have “Ozempic face.”
What is Ozempic face? It is the same face you will have with rapid weight loss. From this article:
That said, these facial changes are likely not a direct result of the Ozempic itself, Jastrebroff and Dr. Rocio Salas-Whalen, Valocchi’s endocrinologist, say. It's likely a downstream effect of losing a lot of weight over a shorter period than usual, Salas-Whalen says. (Salas-Whalen worked for Novo Nordisk in the past but on projects unrelated to Ozempic.)
That is you will get the same face if you had a successful diet.
https://www.today.com/health/ozempic-face-rcna67737
This is an article by the Mayo Clinic, “Let’s stop using the term ‘Ozempic face.’”
https://mcpress.mayoclinic.org/women-health/lets-stop-using-the-term-ozempic-face/
Basically, the face you get taking weight loss drugs is the same face you get when you diet and lose weight.
When you are successful, there are always others who try to pull you down.
Real Side Effect of Ozempic and Wegovy is NOT DYING.
It is prescribed primarily to those needing to lose weight to treat their diabetes. It really works, and so people haven’t had diabetes are taking it to lose weight for cosmetic reasons. The Alphabet Soup (LGBTQXYZ) scolds are upset that some Gays might want to look better.
In this article it is reported that patients taking Wegovy are much less likely to have heart attacks.
This is a CNN article about Wegovy users having a reduced heart issues.
https://www.cnn.com/2023/08/08/health/wegovy-heart-trial/index.html
This is an article in ArsTechnica which is a very good technical publication which I subscribe to.
https://arstechnica.com/health/2023/09/weight-loss-drugs-ozempic-and-wegovy-also-protect-your-heart/
The consequence of reaching old age as an overweight person is not good. There is diabetes, joint problems, mobility issues, heart problems. When you are younger you can carry that extra weight around, when you get older it will take more effort and you will start being less active. You will be taking medications.
The denial of the health effects of obesity leads to death in many cases.
This is what makes the Body Positivity and Fat Liberationists now a death cult.
They aren’t much different than anti-vaxxers.
Complications
Yes, there are issues with taking these drugs for some people. However, this is the first generation of these drugs. With biomolecular technology and science there will be a 2nd generation, a 3rd generation and a 4th generation of drugs.
They will work to do three things.
More effective: Larger percentage weight loss.
Make it oral: No more shots.
Make it safer with fewer side effects.
However, if you are overweight and you don’t think dieting without drugs will work for you, I would suggest you start with the 1st generation weight loss drugs. You may not be around for the 2nd or 3rd or 4th generation. While waiting for the 2nd and 3rd or 4th generation diabetes, heart issues, clogged arteries, sendentary habits can develop.
If you are really interested in avoiding drugs and health problems, I suggest then you adopt a lifestyle and eathing habits that manage your weight.
I hope to publish something on this.
I have had at the end of some of the newsletters advice on losing weight.
Body Positivity and Fat Liberation isn’t all bad.
The push back on making fun of fat people when it is so difficult to lose weight and it seems to be something with the modern diet was correct.
The realization that there isn’t a standard body that appeals to everyone is good.
Of course, going crazy over your body or doing crazy things isn’t good.
Either change your body or accept it or change it some and then accept it.
It is when the movement shifted to trying to assert that being obese was without problems and perhaps a positive good the movement went over the edge.
When the movement started to criticize people for not wanting to have sex with obese people, the movement went over the edge.
What about Bears?
I don’t mean ones in the forest, I am talking about the ones in the Gay clubs.
First thing, if someone wants to be a bear, that is fine. That is their right.
There are some downsides to making this decision in terms of health, but it is their decision.
The Alphabet moral scolds do so much scolding that the assumption is that if someone disagrees with your lifestyle choice they will want to scold you.
I don’t want to scold you. No one else should scold you.
What I want is for the Body Positivity movement and the Fat Liberationists to stop scolding others, and also stop denying the health effects of being overweight.
My speculation is that for many being a “bear” is making the best of the situation. I think that is a smart strategy in most cases in life. As these weight-loss drugs become oral, become cheaper, and more effective, it will be interesting to see how much of the Bear scene will persist.
Downside of weight loss drugs.
I think some people will lose weight with smaller portions of the same garbage food they were eating and not adopt better eating.
However, that is their choice and it doesn’t affect me.
Conclusion
Now that the Body Positivity movement and the Fat Liberationists are actively opposing weight loss drugs, they are a menance to the health of the Gay community.
Gays need to make informed choices and not believe scare tactics.
Gays need to understand that being overweight had a health impact.
Gays need to understand that the Body Positivity movement and the Fat Liberationists have become a toxic movement harmful to Gay health.
And again, do not make fun of obsese people.
