Patrice Mersault tries to school me and newsletter readers on trans ideology. Looking at Mersault's "cognition."
Though it was an attempt to tell me how wrong I am, it turns out a great opportunity to show how trans ideologues just ignore realtity.

I found this comment on a substack post about the trans ideologues taking Democrats down to defeat.
It is from a recent post. I will put the link after the picture. This is the text.
The Right's Gender Scam: How They're Conning America with Fake Outrage
A grotesque theater of bathroom panic and pronoun hysteria, designed to keep you scared, distracted, and obedient—while they ignore the real problems.

This was the post on which the comment was made.

A Lesson in Manufactured Outrage: Breaking Down the Hysteria vs. Reality
Hysteria: Transgender Athletes Are Destroying Women’s Sports
They want you to believe that transgender athletes are dismantling women’s sports, that the fabric of fairness is under siege. Politicians fan the flames with tales of stolen opportunities and shattered competition.
Reality: Transgender athletes represent a fraction of competitors.
The NCAA, the IOC—they have policies ensuring fairness. And yet, you’d struggle to find a single case where transgender athletes dominate. It’s a rare occurrence, blown to absurd proportions to fit a narrative of fear. It’s a statistical ghost, conjured up to keep the public panicked, but fearmongers have never been ones to let facts get in the way.
Notice the rebutal is, “Transgender athletes represent a fraction of competitors.”
This is misdirection. The athletes getting the first prize are a very small fraction of competitors. It doesn’t take many MTF transwomen to take the prizes.
If you have a hundred competitors and three MTF transwomen, they will be getting the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize in the contest.
Also, in a field where there are 10,000 women and rounds of elimination towards the final contest of 100 athletes, there might be only 3 MTF transwomen in the intial round, 0.03%, but as they wind competitions, they end up being three MTF transwomen in the final competition winning 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize.
The following is just the use of inflammatory rhetoric to obscure the reality of the situation:
Politicians fan the flames with tales of stolen opportunities
Is it fanning flames if opportunities are being stolen? Mersault hopes overheated rhetoric will obscure reality.
Also, the argument, ““Transgender athletes represent a fraction of competitors,” doesn’t really answer the issues raised. It tries to frame the issue that they are incidental and not impactful. The fact is that they are winning medals in the Olympic competition.
Why would women go into sports if they had no hope of winning prizes or very adverse situation of winning a prize to to MTF athletes winning the prizes?
There are women’s sports so women in women’s bodies can compete, rather than having the only opportunity be men’s sports. It is unfair.
[2] Supposedly cutting off breasts save lives.
Hysteria: Gender-Affirming Care is "Child Mutilation"
Here’s where their rhetoric veers into the grotesque, painting images of doctors as butchers in a brutal experiment. They talk about “child mutilation” with all the subtlety of a horror show.
Reality: Gender-affirming care saves lives.
Most care for transgender youth is mental health support, sometimes reversible treatments like puberty blockers. The American Academy of Pediatrics advocates for it because it drastically reduces depression and suicide rates among trans youth. Calling this “mutilation” is not just inaccurate; it’s a monstrous lie, aimed at stripping away dignity from those already vulnerable.
If they are cutting off parts of the human body when there is no need it is a horror show.
The use of “mutilation” in discussing procedures on the human body is political, circumcision isn’t called “mutilation” when applied to men, but commonly called “mutilation” when applied to women in Africa.
The key tactic used here, beside the use of overheated language, is avoiding whether it is a legitimate medical procedure that is necessary, or something pushed on the basis of ideology.
Mersault thinks that any concern is hysteria. The mental health profession used to do pre-frontal lobotomies. There was electro shock therapy.
The statistics of whether it saves lives has come under question. There is this report. (My post continues after these three posts.)
Then there is the junk science.
I included in post about the Cass Report, the long, very long history of the follies of psychology.
The Detrans wave coming.
There are a lot of people who had mental health problems and took puberty blockers or cut off body part and are now regretting it. It doesn’t happen right away, but over time they realize they made the wrong choice.
We are going to have the spectacle of detrans young people realizing they made a horrible mistake, were mislead into it with the whole LGBTQXYZ press endorsing this debacle, and they will be very public crying and lamenting. There will be anger and hostility toward the LGBT.
Fortunately, I have been against this nonsense from the beginning.
For the Lesbian and Gay community to go foward, it will be necessary to purge the whole LGBTQXYZ establishment or the stench will still be upon any Gay rights movment.
